My name is Sarah. I’m a painter from the west coast of British Columbia.

My art is inspired by colour, animals, and imperfection. When I start a painting, I never know how it’ll turn out. My process is about trial and error, working with mistakes and enjoying the process of experimentation. This type of painting gives my highly anxious brain much needed relief from the pursuit of perfectionism that challenges me in other areas of my life.

When I’m not painting, I’m reading, playing piano, or being active in the outdoors.

I’m originally from Saskatchewan but moved to the West Coast of British Columbia in January of 2018. I currently live and work out of my bedroom studio in Victoria, BC.
